BMS admissions: Soon, authorities to clear impasse

The confusion over admission process of Bachelor in Management Studies (BMS) in Delhi University (DU) will soon be over.

Authorities have informed that by next week some decision will be taken and the mode of admission will also be clear.

‘There will be a meeting in the coming weeks and a clear picture will be drawn about the admission process of BMS,’ said Malay Neerav, Press coordinator of Delhi University.

There has been no clarity yet on the admission policy of BMS, whether to admit students on the basis of admission test or class 12th marks. The committee headed by Dean of Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) recommended doing away with the entrance examination.

The committee suggested that admission should be held on the basis of 12th marks and personal interview of the candidate.

However, some of the college principals argued against it.
The professional course was started by the university last year and is only available in six colleges of DU. It is one of the most sought-after courses in DU. Last year, the first batch for the course was admitted through entrance examination.

The admission process for under-graduate courses in Delhi University for 2014-15 will start from
2 June.
