Blast at TMC leader's house, wife dead

A Trinamool Congress (TMC) booth committee leader was injured, while his wife died in a bomb explosion at their house in West Bengal's Birbhum district in the wee hours on Sunday.
Birbhum Superintendent of Police <g data-gr-id="17">Mukhesh</g> Kumar said the incident occurred at Buro Hansda's (45) house at <g data-gr-id="18">Bilati</g> village around 3am.
Hansda's wife, <g data-gr-id="19">Churki</g> Hansda (37) died on the spot in the explosion while the Trinamool leader who sustained injuries, was rushed to Bolpur sub-divisional hospital.
The SP said <g data-gr-id="14">Hansda</g> had complained to the police that <g data-gr-id="15">some one</g> had hurled a bomb at his residence in the early hours. Several TMC workers visited Hasda's house after the incident came to light. The police are looking into the matter.
