BJP’s Udit Raj lashes out at sitting MP Krishna Tirath

‘They are not accessible. Talking about giving them respect is another matter altogether’, he said.

‘The complaint of the people in this constituency is that during her term, sitting MP Krishna Tirath was not to be seen and now she is making claims that she made sincere efforts for its development. The people of this area wonder whether North-West Delhi is actually a part of the National Capital Region or not. The region significantly lags behind in terms of development’, he said.

Udit Raj attended a public meeting in Bhagat Singh Park of Mundaka, as per his programme and listened to the problems of the people. In addition to this he addressed a public gathering at Peeragarhi and carried out a door to door campaign in R-Block of Mangolpuri and areas near Sanjay Gandhi Hospital.

In the evening, he carried out his campaign to Siraspur and addressed a gathering at Rithala. After addressing another gathering in D-Block of Avantika, he went proceeded to Sector 7-8 of Rohini during the course of which he requested the public to support the Bhartiya Janata Party.

‘If Krishna Tirath had actually worked for the development of the region, as is being falsely claimed by her now, there would have been at least 4 to 5 large hospitals, good schools and colleges and satisfactory public transportation system here. The people know the truth and reality,’ alleged Udit Raj.

Rakhi Birla, former women a child development minister in Delhi, claimed that she visits 10 to 12 areas with the local every day to witness their problems up close. ‘When I was the minister for women and child development in Delhi, I went to the streets at all hours for women’s safety. We are not the ones to sleep in air-conditioned houses. I promise that if you elect me, I will visit you every month,’ Birla said.
