BJP’s net workers to connect with youths

The city BJP has made a team of ‘net workers’ to connect youths through social networking. The party on Saturday engaged 50 netizens to publicise its policies among youths through social networking websites.

‘These net-workers have been engaged from the pool of interested youths who had applied online to work for the party,’ said Vijay Goel, Delhi BJP president. ‘Internet has become a powerful medium to reach out to the youths and the team would certainly contribute towards gathering support for party among netizens,’ Goel added.

The city BJP has already appointed a team of professionals for research on content to be aired through its website and web-pages.

A core committee team is likely to be announced on either Sunday or Monday. ‘The core committee would take decisions on all important matters and would have around 16 members,’ said a senior leader of the party.

‘The party has a provision of core committee to take important decision but city BJP chief Goel has been deliberately delaying it to hold rein of the party in the city,’ he added.
Goel is facing criticism from all quarters for his ‘autocratic’ style of functioning. The core committee is also seen as a medium to curtail his powers in the city.
