BJP's future depends on mayors: Gadkari

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Nitin Gadkari has said that ruling congress party has lost its capacity to rule the country and future belongs to BJP. He was addressing an informal meeting of councillors of the three municipal corporations in Delhi.

'The future of the party depends upon our performance. The victory of BJP in all the three Corporations has proved that Congress has lost its capacity to rule,' said Gadkari.

'The journey of victory of BJP in all the three municipal corporations of Delhi is the beginning of downfall of the Congress. We have to maintain it the momentum,' he added.

He also instructed the councillors to perform well in the corporation and show the country that BJP is ready to take the charge from the corporations of the country to the parliament. On this occasion, senior leaders of the party, such as Lal Krishan Advani, Sushma Swaraj and Vijay Goel were present. The programme was presided over by the Delhi Pradesh president Vijender Gupta. Mayors of all the three Corporations, Meera Aggarwal, Savita Gupta and Annapurna Mishra and other senior office bearers were also present.

Delhi Pradesh President Gupta told that the winning councillors have been given important responsibilities in the three corporations taking into consideration their experience, seniority and ability. According to him, Congress is frustrated due to its defeat and is trying to hinder the development works of the three Corporations.
