BJP to set up war room during Navratara
Gearing into the poll mode Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has decided to setup its war room during the Navratara period. Navratara which is considered one of the most auspicious period will begin from 5 October. According to BJP leaders this time the war room will be housed at the BJP headquarters itself.
BJP leaders say that previously the war room was operated from the residence of late BJP leader Pramod Mahajan and party general secretary Ananth Kumar and since the party lost the general elections in 2004 and 2009, this time it was decided that the party headquarters will serve as the war room.
Sources say that the heads of the election sub committees will be part of this war room apart from having about 100 members who would monitor media, would track the logicists where a rally will be held and also send out campaign material.
The war room will also be the hub which will interact with booth level to the national level. Sources say that the problems faced at the booth level, district level or state level will be addressed here and the necessary action to be taken will be initiated from the war room.
