BJP to raise electricity, women safety issues in assembly polls

Electricity crisis and safety of women in the national capital will be among the slew of issues on which BJP will take on the Congress in the upcoming Delhi Assembly polls.
Setting BJP’s agenda for the upcoming state polls, BJP state chief Vijay Goel said,

‘The executive committee has decided that BJP will target villages, slums, electricity crisis, women safety, youth issues and water management for the 2013 Assembly polls, as the current government has failed to address these issues.’
‘The political proposal was put forward by BJP State Vice-President Ramesh Bidhuri and supported by MLA Subhash Sachdeva,’ Goel said in a press conference after the first meeting of its state executive committee here.

Alleging that the Delhi government doesn’t cooperate with the BJP-led MCDs,
Goel said, ‘The money which should have reached the Municipal Corporations by first week of May has still not reached any of our three MCDs.’
BJP would organise a giant rally in Ramlila Maidan in August over power crisis in the city.
They also passed a political resolution pitching for ‘full statehood’ for Delhi.
