The city BJP on Tuesday vowed to make Narendra Modi’s rally on 29 September a grand success. The preparations for the rally is titled, ‘Operation Blitzkrieg’. The organisers claimed to have constructed a gigantic hi-tech stage and will use the latest sound and telecast technologies to woo maximum crowds.
Delhi BJP president, Vijay Goel, in a press conference on Tuesday said, ‘The stage will be set on an area spread across 20,000 sq feet. Of this, 3,200 sq feet is set to be the main stage. In the backdrop a dynamic screen and line array sound system will be installed. This is to ensure high quality sound for our audience.’
He added, ‘The party has already installed 20 LED television sets at Swarna Jayanthi Park and a few additional LED sets outside the venue for people who are unable to enter. The latest sound systems and LED sets will be used to reach out to the people furthest away from the main stage,’ said Vijender Gupta, former Delhi BJP president, who is also heading the preparations for the rally.
According to organisers, the party expects an approximately five-lakh strong crowd in the rally and seven cameras will be used to cover it. A separate media studio is also being constructed for live telecast of the speech and related news.
‘We have arranged for 5,000 buses and deployed one party worker as group leader, who will facilitate the process of reaching the venue,’ said Vijender Gupta. He further said that approximately 2.5 lakh people are expected to reach the venue by metro, government buses and by personal vehicles.
‘Senior party functionaries, councillors and MLAs are creating awareness about the rally. I am organising morning road shows and public meetings (Prabhat Pheri) to convince people to come for the rally. The rally will kick-start the election campaign in the city and will sound the death knell for the corrupt and inefficient Congress government in Delhi,’ said Goel.
