He also alleged the BJP was playing dirty politics over elections. “BJP is not confident of winning assembly elections, that is why they are delaying it. It is playing dirty politics over the issue,” said AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal in another tweet.
Meanwhile BJP’s Delhi leader Harish Khurana said the party was confident of winning the upcoming assembly polls in the national Capital. “BJP is going to win the upcoming election in Delhi. We are well prepared for the election and people will give vote for development and good governance in Delhi. AAP’s allegations are baseless that BJP is running away from election”, added Khurana.
Meanwhile, in a worrying sign for Kejriwal, Delhiites don’t seem willing to pardon him for “running away” from his responsibility as chief minister. In a survey conducted by the CICERO, around 53 per cent voters feel the AAP lacks the maturity to govern the Capital. Over 51 per cent respondents said the party cheated people by quitting the government after just 49 days. Around 54 per cent people felt Kejriwal focused more on protests rather than running his government.
However, Kejriwal tweeeted, “Our vote share predictions: ABP-27%, Aaj Tak-33%, Total Tv-39%. All 3 can’t be true. Kaun sa theek hai? Kaun sa farzi hai (which is right, which is wrong)?”
In another survey, the AAP chief was praised by over 60 per cent respondents for bringing down corruption in Capital during his tenure. The same percentage of voters credited him with bringing down the cost of electricity and water in Delhi. As many as 55 per cent people felt AAP deserved another chance.
