BJP protests at Haryana CM’s house

Alleging petty politicking by the Congress governments of Delhi and Haryana, the youth wing of BJP protested at the official residence of Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Sunday morning demanding release of Delhi’s share of water held back by Haryana. Addressing the protesters, Delhi BJP president Vijay Goel said, ‘The overall water management system has collapsed in Delhi. Delhi has not got its due share from Haryana, the much delayed Munak Canal whose cost over runs are phenomenal doesn’t have a single drop of water despite tall claims made by the Chief Minister for the past one year.’ He further added that the fact is that from Munak Canal, Delhi will only get around 75-80 MGD of water but there will still be shortage of more than 200 MGD and the government has no plan to fill this gap. The protest organised by Delhi Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha was led by Delhi BJP President Vijay Goel and Delhi BJYM President Gauarav Khari.
