BJP membership crosses 5-crore mark: Amit Shah

BJP’s membership has crossed the five-crore mark, half of its target of 10 crore members, party president Amit Shah claimed on Monday.
“BJP membership crosses 5 crore (50 million) mark and is rapidly growing further. Join us,” Shah said.
In less than a month, the party has added one crore members as the BJP crossed its four-crore membership mark on January 21.
BJP launched its membership drive on November 1 with Prime Minister Narendra Modi taking its first membership, followed by Shah.
The drive has set an ambitious target of 10 crore members to help the party emerge as the largest in the world with the highest number of members. The BJP chief and its senior leaders has been touring various states to ensure the success of the membership drive that will continue till March 31.
