After the recent big political drama in Uttarakhand, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) top leadership of the state is all set to strategise the further roadmap for the upcoming Assembly polls scheduled for next year.
A meeting led by the Uttarakhand BJP president Ajay Bhatt, party state in-charge Shyam Jaju and former BJP chief ministers, Bhuvan Chandra Khanduri, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Bhagat Koshiyari was chaired on Tuesday evening in Delhi.
Newly appointed MoS Ajay Tampta, Harak Singh Rawat and Vijay Bahuguna also attended the meeting. After facing a debacle in the recent floor test in the State Assembly where Chief Minister Harish Rawat was voted back to power by the majority, the BJP leadership also accused Rawat of indulging in horse-trading to gain majority support.
BJP president Amit Shah had alleged that in the floor test, Rawat received 33 votes against the BJP’s 28, and, all those who voted for him were given various posts by the CM to return the favour.
The saffron leadership is also using opportunity to ask people to vote for BJP to enjoy the benefits of schemes along with the ‘corruption-free government’ with the leadership of PM Narendra Modi.
