BJP gears up for LS poll, initiates process for poll booth committees

Sounding the poll bugle, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has initiated the process of formation of booth committees across the country. BJP president Rajnath Singh informed that the process which has been commenced from this week, will target about 300-315 constituencies and the process will be completed by end of June.
The BJP plans to target about 700 million voters through their outreach program. BJP leaders informed that about 12-15 party functionaries at every Lok Sabha constituency will be responsible for the formation of booth level committees under the constituency. BJP leaders are of the opinion, that mass rallies though gather crowds, the party has been unable to convert it into a vote bank.
Even during the meeting of national office-bearers and state party president in April, BJP president Rajnath Singh had emphasised on strengthening the the organisation.
They had even come up with the programme of ‘Gao Chalo , Ghar Chalo’ in order to mobilise the party cadre. Even during the party’s national executive held in Delhi, Leader of Opposition, Sushma Swaraj had emphasised on the need to build the organisation from the grass root level and her sentiments were equally echoed by BJP leader Ananth Kumar, who said that BJP can do well if it concentrates its energy on strengthening the organisation of the party.
