BJP attacks delhi govt over financial dispute

Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), through Delhi Municipal Corporations, geared up its stance against Arvind Kejriwal’s government on the financial issue. All three BJP-led Municipal Corporations held separate meetings to discuss the matter. North and South MCDs, with support of the Congress, have passed their resolution against the Delhi government and are all set to move court for its intervention. The EDMC has also called a Special House meeting and is likely to take a similar stance to condemn the AAP government for not releasing their funds. BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi’s statement during SDMC’s Special House meeting on Wednesday that MCDs must go to court against Kejriwal government was a clear indication. Leader of Opposition in SDMC, Farhad Suri said: “It is true that Delhi government is doing injustice with the Municipal Corporations which is affecting several developments. Also, there is BJP’s political motive behind this.”
