BJP announces by-poll list, Ranjan Ben Bhatta to contest from Vadodara

The BJP announced the names of its candidates for the by-polls to the parliamentary and Legislative Assembly constituencies in seven different states on Tuesday.
The Vadodara seat, which had been vacated by the former chief minister of Gujarat Narendra Modi, will now have Ranjan Ben Bhatta as the party candidate. Modi chose to keep Varanasi constituency and vacated Vadodara.
In Gujarat, candidates for assembly seats are Shivabhai Gohil, Laxmanbhai Rambhai, Suresh Patel, Hardasbhai Bera, Rohitbhai Patel, Kesrisinh Solanki, Lebjiji Chaman and Vichhiya Bhuriya.
In Uttar Pradesh, among 11 vacancies in the state assembly the party BJP has decided to field candidates on 10 seats. Those contesting are: Rajeev Gumber from Saharanpur Nagar, Hemendra Pal Singh from Bijnor, Rajpal Chauhan from Thakurdwara, Vimla Batham from Noida, Ramkumar Verma from Nighasan, Gopal Tandon from Lucknow East, Jagdish Vyas from Hamirpur, Geeta Singh from Charkhari, Santosh Patel from Sirathu and Akshaywar Lal Gaur from Balha (SC) assembly constituency.
In West Bengal, Samik Bhattacharya will be contesting from South Bashirhat assembly constituency while Ritesh Tiwari will contest from Chowringhee, while in Sikkim, Bikash Basnet will be contesting from Rangang Yangang assembly constituency.
In Tripura’s Manu assembly constituency, Nirmal Kumar Tripura will be contesting and in Assam, Dilip Paul, Sanjay Thakur and Belaluddin will be contesting from Silchar, Lakhipur and Jamunamukh assembly constituencies respectively.
In Rajasthan, Gangaram Koli, Sarita Gaina and Sandeep Sharma will be contesting from Weir, Nasirabad, Kota South assembly constituencies respectively. And, in Chhattisgarh’s Bhojraj Nag will be contesting from Antagarh assembly seat.
