Bike-borne men kill son of former cop in Narela

A 42-year-old man was killed near his house in Baakner village in Outer Delhi’s Narela area on 

Sunday night. According to the police, the deceased, Vikas was the son of a former Delhi Police Sub-inspector, Inder Singh who expired some time back.

Senior police officers have not ruled out personal enmity as the motive behind the murder. The incident took place at around 9:30pm on Sunday when Vikas was walking near his house, unidentified bike- borne men came and slit his throat, said police.

Eyewitnesses told police that some unidentified men came on a bike and slit his throat after which they fled from the spot.

Upon informing police,Vikas was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.

Sources said that Vikas’ s brother has been involved in a case of a murder. An investigating officer said they are probing the matter and going through the background of Vikas’s brother.

Police have registered a case of murder at the Narela police station under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. They are also scanning the CCTV footage of the area, sequence of events and are questioning family members and locals. Further investigation is underway to catch the culprits.
