Bihar native held for theft of laptops

A Bihar native, working at a chemist shop here, has been arrested for stealing laptops and other gadgets to make a quick buck, police said on Monday.
Satyajeet Kumar Singh, a native of Chhapra district in Bihar, was arrested recently and police recovered 12 laptops, 11 high-end mobile devices, a tablet computer and two wrist watches. Most of these gadgets belonged to students, they said. With the arrest of Singh, police claimed to solved six cases of laptop theft in South Extension and other areas in south Delhi.
‘During sustained interrogation, he disclosed to have stolen the laptop from a house in Udaichand Park on Thursday,’ a senior police official said. Singh, who completed B.Sc. Maths (Hons) from a prestigious University in Bihar, came to Delhi last year and worked with prestigious mobile service provider as an executive in the customer care services. ‘Later on, he left this job and joined a chemist shop in Arjun Nagar, Kotla Mubarak Pur and to make quick money, he planned to steal laptops,’ the official said.
