Paying rich tributes to ‘People’s President’ APJ Abdul Kalam on the occasion of his last rites, the government of the north Indian state of Bihar on Thursday named Agriculture College at Kishanganj and the proposed science city after him.
The decision was taken by the state cabinet of ministers at a brief meeting headed by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar which saw 36 proposals being taken up and approved.

Sinha said the cabinet remembered late former Indian President Kalam as a great personality who was an embodiment of science and spirituality. The ‘missile man’ would always be in the hearts of the people of this country as an immense repertoire of knowledge, scientist, scholar and teacher.
The Bihar cabinet in its tributes said that Kalam’s attachment to the state could never be forgotten. He had given <g data-gr-id="32">10-point</g> suggestion for the development of the state while addressing a joint session of Bihar legislature in 2006.
