Bihar Home Secy, 9 DMs, 7 SPs transferred by EC

Ahead of Bihar assembly polls slated next month, the Election Commission on Friday ordered the transfer of state Home Secretary Amir Subhani, nine district magistrates and seven senior police official including SPs and SSPs and said those transferred from districts should not be posted to any election-related post. It asked the state Chief Secretary to send the poll body with a ‘compliance report’ within 24 hours along with copies of transfer orders. The EC also appointed Sudhir Kumar Rakesh, 1983 bath IAS officer, as the new Home Secretary.
