Bihar CM stresses on spread of education among women

Expressing concern over rapid population growth, Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday said his government was popularising education among women to bring down reproduction rate.
The reproduction rate is 3.7 at present but it has been 2 per cent among girls who have cleared matriculation, Kumar said at a social function here.
The chief minister said that in order to maintain the reproduction rate level, the state government was spreading education among women. He said 1000 schools would be opened in the state to ensure that all the girls get education till matriculation. Every high school would have facility for plus two education.
