Bihar by-polls: Left declares candidates

Three major left parties which have formed an alliance for Bihar assembly by-elections on Wednesday announced their candidates for the 10 seats that will go to polls next month. In an unusual move, the CPI, CPI(M) and CPI(ML) forged grand Left alliance for the by-polls on 21 August, is being seen as the semifinal before the assembly polls in 2015. Left party candidates will be pitted against BJP, as well as nominees of JD(U)-RJD-Congress alliance, making the contest triangular.
