NEW DELHI: BJP chief Amit Shah on Saturday termed the party's win in Tripura and in Nagaland 'historic'. " From 1.3 per cent in 2013 to 50.5 per cent in 43 seats in 2018, it is significant," he added. "In 2014 Prime Minister Narendra Modiji asserted to develop this region and to bring it in the main stream. Thus this (the victory) indicates people's support towards his policies," Shah asserted.
Making a scathing attack, the BJP chief said, "This shows that the people under the leadership of Modi ji are going with the BJP. As far as the Left parties are concerned, it has been proved that the Left is not right for any part of the country."
He also referred to the Assembly polls in Karnataka in about two months — "I feel the results in the three states are signs of the results in coming polls in Karanataka and the 2019 Lok Sabha polls. We are going with big preparations in the contest for Karnataka."
