'PM Modi biggest rioter, fate worse than Trump awaits him'

Chinsurah: Calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi the "biggest dangabaaz" (rioter) in the country, Chief Minister and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee — addressing a mammoth rally here on Wednesday — lambasted the BJP and Modi stating that a fate worse than that of former US President Donald Trump awaited him.
During Trump's visit to India, hue and cry was raised after a display of brotherhood between the two leaders and the bear hug of the two went viral on social media.
"It is unbelievable that being the Prime Minister of the country he speaks incessant lies. I don't want to disrespect the post of the country's Prime Minister. I mean to say the person who is now holding the post, but tomorrow he would not be in the chair," Banerjee said while addressing a mammoth rally at the same Dunlop Ground within 48 hours of Modi's meeting on Monday. Cricketer Manoj Tiwari along with several Tollywood actors, doctors and former CPI(M) MLA Lagan Deo Singh joined the TMC at Chinsurah with Banerjee by their side.
She mentioned in the same breath that BJP's defeat in Bengal in the forthcoming Assembly polls would make the saffron brigade politically insignificant in the country.
Hitting out at Modi for "misguiding people" by providing "false information", Banerjee put forward the state's vibrant picture before the masses, including her government's initiative to create 1.5 crore job opportunities in the next five years and threw a challenge before all the Opposition parties to face her politically in the forthcoming Assembly polls, giving the clarion call "khela hobe" in which she will play the role of a goalkeeper with all three — BJP, Congress and CPI(M) — as her opponents.
"I assure you that I will be the goalkeeper and all the balls will fly above the goalpost," Banerjee said after maintaining that only two leaders now seem to be the only leaders left in the country.
"Just recollect what had happened to Trump, he (Modi) will meet an even worse fate as nothing can be gained from violence.
Both these leaders (Modi and Amit Shah) did nothing as all the Railway projects that Modi is now inaugurating to take credit were sanctioned by me when I was the Railway minister," she
added.
Rubbishing the claims of the Prime Minister that no industries were set up in Bengal during her time, Banerjee put forward a series of examples including the agro-based industrial park at Singur that will create lakhs of jobs.
She continued her attack on Modi and the Union Home minister stating: "You both speak a lot. But it would not continue for long as we will speak after the elections." Banerjee added: "Modi
uses teleprompter to speak Bengali. I can also speak Gujarati but do not need a teleprompter for the same. It is not going to be a cakewalk in Bengal as it will not be possible to win here by just speaking a single line in
Bengali."
The TMC supremo further said: "We have 20 lakh workers including me. If they want, they can put all of us behind bars. But keep one thing in mind that a wounded tigress is more dangerous."
"They always say that Trinamool Congress is 'tolabaaj' but all of you are the biggest 'dangabaaz' and 'dhandabaaz' involved in corruption of crores of rupees. You all say cut money and I am saying that 'dhandabaazi' of crores of rupees is nothing but rat-money," she said after taking a dig at Modi for claiming that Bengal is unsafe for
women.
"I would like to ask whether their own party is safe for women. I would urge
people not to send mothers and sisters of their families to their party. Are women safe in BJP-ruled UP and MP? But the women are safe in Trinamool Congress and Bengal," Banerjee
maintained.
