Man grazes dog with tempo, murdered by pet's owner
New Delhi: In an atrocious crime, a 40-year-old man was stabbed to death by three persons after his tempo grazed the pet dog of one of the accused in Uttam Nagar, Delhi. The brother of the deceased, too, was stabbed and is battling for life in a city hospital. The three accused fled from the spot after committing the murder.
The incident occurred at around 12:50 am on the intervening night of October 5 and 6 when Vijender Rana accidentally grazed the dog in the lane with his tempo. This angered the dog's owner Ankit and the two got into an argument.
However, the owner of the dog soon called out others and his brother and tenant joined in and attacked Vijender. Hearing the chaos, Vijender's elder brother Rajesh Rana came and tried to save him.
However, the three men — Ankit, his brother Paras and tenant Dev Chopra — attacked the two brothers with screwdrivers. Unarmed and outnumbered, the brothers were repeatedly stabbed by the three men.
By the time other family members reached for help, Vijender and Rajesh were critically injured. Both were immediately rushed to the hospital.
"The injured 40-year-old Vijender was taken to hospital where he was declared 'brought dead'. His brother Rajesh is still under observation with stab wounds…. We have registered a case of murder and attempt to murder against the accused," said Dwarka DCP Anto Alphonse.
The police have recorded the statements of the eyewitness and are now carrying out raids in search of the accused persons. Three teams have been formed to carry out the operation.
