Law student beaten to death over brushing of legs against attacker's
Allahabad: A 26-year-old law student, Dilip Saroj, was severely beaten to death at a restaurant in the Allahabad district of Uttar Pradesh over a fight that started when the victim's legs had brushed against the legs with that of the attackers. Saroj felt unconscious and died in hospital on Saturday morning as the attacker used hockey stick, a broken pipe and bricks to beat him.
The waiter, Munna Chauhan, at Kalika restaurant has been arrested because he was the one who hit Dilip on his head with an iron rod, which led to his death.
Two policemen have also been suspended for not taking immediate action though their patrol car was just 100 meters away from the restaurant. The patrol car was supposed to immediately reach the spot after the manager of the restaurant dialed 100. But his action went in vain.
