Key Indian equity indices trade lower in early session

The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) was trading 46.47 points or 0.16 per cent lower during the early session.

Key Indian equity market indices opened in the red on Friday ahead of the 13th Council meet to finalise the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Rules.

The wider 51-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading 14.55 points or 0.16 per cent lower at 9,159.20 points.

The BSE Sensex, which opened at 29,633.91 points, was trading at 29,600.95 points (at 9.20 a.m.) in the early session, lower 46.47 points or 0.16 per cent from the previous day's close at 29,647.42 points.

The Sensex touched a high of 29,640.03 points and a low of 29,574.89 points in the trade so far.
