5 sanitation workers die while cleaning sewer in Gzb

GHAZIABAD: At least five sanitation workers died while cleaning a sewer in the Nandgram area of UP's Ghaziabad on Thursday.

Meanwhile, UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the kin of the deceased.

The UP CM also directed the authorities to launch a probe into the incident. He has ordered the managing director of the water board to submit the report within two days.

As per sources, the workers went inside the sewer one by one to look for their co-workers and died.
