Bhel wins €16.96 million thermal project in Turkey

State-run power gear maker Bhel has bagged a Euro 16.96 million contract for a thermal power project in Turkey, the company said.
"The company has bagged a contract for rehabilitation of three units of Electrostatic Precipitators for the 430 MW Tuncbilek Thermal Power Project in Turkey on EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) basis," Bhel said in a statement.
Valued at Euro 16.96 million (approximately Rs 130.8 crore), the order envisages dismantling, supply, civil works and erection & commissioning of the Electrostatic Precipitators.
The order has been placed on Bhel by Electricity Generation Company which is the largest electric power company in Turkey. It is owned by the Turkish government and it generates and supplies electricity throughout the country.
