Bhel commissions 82.5 MW hydro power unit in Uttarakhand

State-owned equipment maker BHEL today said it has commissioned <g data-gr-id="8">a </g><g data-gr-id="9"><g data-gr-id="8">82.5</g> megawatt</g> unit at the <g data-gr-id="10">Shrinagar</g> Hydro Electric Project in Uttarakhand. "With the successful commissioning of the fourth unit of 82.5 MW, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has commissioned the 330 MW Shrinagar Hydro Electric Project in Uttarakhand," the company said in a regulatory filing. Significantly, all the four units of this project have been commissioned within a span of 60 days, it said. The greenfield hydro electric project -- consisting of four units of 82.5 MW each--has been set up by Alaknanda Hydro Power Corp Ltd (GVK Group).
