Better education still uphill task in Uttarakhand

No celebrity entered in their premises of the school, and fourth estate remained busy in covering story in the five-star schools where wardens of politicians, bureaucrats, industrialists and film stars are studying.
But it doesn’t mean that state government is not seriously thinking for providing education to the children of have-nots. Recently, nearly 2200 teachers were appointed for basic education and sent to various villages in the state. But the majority of newly-appointed teachers do not want to work in remotest areas, and seeking for transfer in convenient places. Due to lack of teacher and proper education in the higher hills, the parents are migrating to state capital to give better education to their children.
Ajay Sethia, chairman of the state commission for protection of child told that by providing better education to the children of poor parents, the problem of child labor can be checked-out. The problem with poor families is that mostly considered their offspring as a supplement to the family income, they send them to factories, restaurants, shops, and thus the real problem starts.
