Women weightlifting championship held

KOLKATA: Khelo India women weightlifting championship was organised on Sunday at Techno India Group, Kasba campus, Kolkata.

An initiative of Government of India's Khelo India 10 Ka Dum, the competition saw the participation of 50 candidates from all across the state.

Organised by West Bengal State Weightlifting Association along with Sports Authority of India, and Techno India Group, the competition had the presence of Aakash Pundir, deputy director, SAI and Dr Sanku Bose, Group CEO, Techno India.

Also, present on the occasion was Shri Chandan Roy Choudhury, president, West Bengal State Weightlifting Association.
