Woman launches FIR against ISF’s Naushad Siddique

A complaint was lodged on Wednesday at the New Town Police Station against ISF MLA Naushad Siddique for allegedly establishing physical relationship by promising to marry.

Though the complainant is a resident of the Airport Police Station’s jurisdiction, she was accompanied to the New Town police station by Trinamool Congress leader Sabyasachi Dutta on Wednesday.

The woman alleged that the ISF MLA had established a physical relationship by promising to marry her. But when asked how she met Siddique and other questions, the complainant reportedly refused to say anything more and said that she will talk about the matter in detail later.

Meanwhile, Dutta said that the woman and her family were unaware of where the complaint can be lodged. “She approached us as they are general people. The woman is an educated person from a minority community. I am unable to utter the allegations that the woman is making against Naushad Siddique.

However, it is not our matter. The law will take its own source. A proper inquiry will bring out the truth,” said Dutta. As the woman is a resident of the Airport Police Station’s jurisdiction, a zero FIR was registered at the New Town police station. The FIR will be sent to the Airport police station later.
