TMC launches campaign song for 2026 polls
Kolkata: Trinamool Congress (TMC) has released its theme song for the 2026 Assembly election campaign on YouTube, featuring the rallying cry “Je Lorche Sobar Daake, Sei Jetabe Bangla Maake” (The one who fights for everyone’s call, will win over Bengal).
The vibrant theme song that highlights various key schemes of the state development has already created a sensation. The YouTube video of nearly 4 minutes presents the party’s role as defenders of Bengali culture, language and the “Ma-Mati-Manush” ethos. The social media campaign portrays the party supremo and Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee as a “tigress” and aims to highlight her government’s achievements.
This song is one of the central social media campaigns of the Trinamool’s strategy for the 2026 Assembly elections, following a pattern of high-profile, campaign-driven music similar to the 2021 election’s “Khela Hobe” and “Bangla Nijer Meyekei Chay”.
The ruling party has already unveiled another theme song ahead of the 2026 Assembly elections, adopting its new slogan “Jotoi Koro Hamla, Abar Jitbe Bangla” (“No matter how many attacks you launch, Bengal will win again”). TMC leaders have framed the launch as both a rallying cry and a political rebuttal to what they describe as central intimidation. This campaign stitches together clips from TMC rallies, meetings, and processions, emphasising the party’s commitment to regional pride and resilience. It also underscores the party’s narrative of protecting Bengal’s language, tradition, and identity against what it characterises as attempts by the BJP to marginalise local culture, influence through institutional means and exclusion on the basis of religion.
