‘Resolve issues quickly, provide statutory clearance to industries’

Raiganj: To boost industries, the officials of the North Dinajpur district administration organised a camp of Micro, Small and Medium industries on the premises of the office of BDO Raiganj on Thursday.

Sandip Dutta, the Additional Director and Sudipta Saha, Joint Director of state MSME, were present at the camp.

Officials of departments dealing with providing statutory clearances to the entrepreneurs, including land, electricity, labour, pollution control board, fire and bank officials were also present in the camp to assist the entrepreneurs.

The agricultural and agriculture marketing officials of the district along with officials of the District Rural Development Cell discussed various issues.

The Additional Director of state MSME, Sandip Dutta met the entrepreneurs and discussed the difficulties they were facing.

He directed the district officials to resolve issues with speed and also provide statutory clearance to the industries.

He stressed upon the need to involve Self Help Groups to set up manufacturing units. Self-Help Groups were also invited to the MSME camp.

The Development Manager of the District Industry Center, Raiganj Subhanu Dhar said: “Since August 1, we have been holding MSME camps in different blocks in our district. Many proposals for setting up new units were received from entrepreneurs.”

The District Magistrate of North Dinajpur Arvind Kumar Mina said: “All the linked departments of MSME were present in our district-level camp. We resolved various issues and problems faced by the entrepreneurs.”
