Postings of 21 Kolkata Police inspectors changed

Kolkata: In a major reshuffle of the inspector-rank officers in Kolkata Police, postings of 21 inspectors, including several Officers-in-Charge (OCs), were changed on Monday.

An order issued on Monday evening by the Commissioner of Kolkata Police detailed the reshuffle. As per the order, Bireswar Roy, Additional OC of Manicktala police station, has been posted as OC of Taltala Police Station. Prosenjit Dhar, earlier Additional OC of Parnashree Police Station, has been made OC of Manicktala police station.

The Additional OC of Sinthee Police Station, Manish Majumder, has been transferred as OC of Ultadanga Police Station, while Subir Saha from the Special Branch (SB) will replace him at Sinthee. Rajib Chattopadhyay, who was Additional OC of Tollygunge Police Station, has been made OC of Tollygunge, with Sagar Mukherjee from the Detective Department (DD) taking over as Additional OC there.

Among other changes, Bipul Biswas, Additional OC of Bansdroni Police Station, has been appointed OC of Tangra Police Station. Ashis Basu, Additional OC of Muchipara Police Station, has been posted as OC of North Port Police Station. Rajeeb Sarkar, Additional OC of Tangra Police Station, has been transferred as Additional OC of Muchipara Police Station.

Deb Kumar Banerjee, Additional OC of Ultadanga Police Station, has been transferred to the Police Training School (PTS). He will be replaced by Mrinmoy Mukherjee, who was posted at the Eastern Suburban Division (ESD). Prasanta Kumar Das, Additional OC of Taltala Police Station, has been made Additional OC of Parnashree Police Station.

Meanwhile, Dipak Mondal from the Security Control Organisation (SCO) has been posted as Additional OC of Bansdroni Police Station, and Prasun Kumar Ghosh from the SB has been made Additional OC of Tangra Police Station.

Postings of several other inspectors have also been changed, the order stated.
