Painting works: West-bound flank of Maa Flyover to be closed from 11 pm to 5 am

Kolkata: The Park Circus-bound (west) flank of the Maa Flyover will remain closed nightly from 11 pm to 5 am for painting works, Kolkata Police announced.

According to a notification issued by the Kolkata Police on Wednesday, all vehicles availing the Maa Flyover from EM Bypass for their westward journeys will be diverted via P C Connector, Congress Exhibition Road, Nasiruddin Shah Road and the AJC Flyover during the closure period. Officials stated that the closure is being implemented to facilitate the painting of crash barriers, medians, piers and pier caps of the flyover by the KMDA during the specified night hours. As per the notification, the closure will come into effect immediately and will continue until the completion of the work.
