‘Lowest temp in city to go below 150C from this weekend’

Kolkata: The Regional Meteorological Centre in Alipore predicted that the lowest temperature in the city will go down below 15 degree Celsius from this weekend. The MeT office also said that in the western districts of Bengal the lowest temperature will go down below 10 degree celsius.

The weather office said that western disturbances have withdrawn from north west parts of the country and they have no impact on the eastern states as well. As a result there will be a free flow of cold north winds. There is a possibility of snowfall in Darjeeling while several other north Bengal districts will receive light rainfall, the MeT office added.

The MeT office said that mercury is expected to drop by 2-3 degree Celsius in the next two-three days. It also said that mercury will drop in South Bengal districts after December 11.
