Kolkata witnesses an evening of music, dance & devotion

KOLKATA: As the raindrops created a melodic rhythm, inside the ICCR auditorium on Thursday evening, a wonderful blend of music, poetry and dance also unfolded. Titled ‘Barsha Meshe Krishna Beshe’, this event brought together various artistes, each contributing their unique touch to the evening.
Satyam Roychowdhury, the Chancellor of Sister Nivedita University and Managing Director of Techno India Group, held the audience spellbound with his captivating narrations about Lord Krishna, love and the beauty of rain. Singers Aditi Munshi and Soumo Basu added to the atmosphere with their beautiful renditions, making it a special treat for music lovers in the city. Adding to the charm of the event, the audience enjoyed a graceful dance drama centered on Lord Krishna, beautifully performed by Soumili Ghosh Biswas and Arnab Bandopadhyay.
Munshi, known for her Kirtan and devotional songs, added explanations amidst the ‘Krishna Radha Abhisare’ songs that highlight the love and interactions between Lord Krishna and Radha. Later in the event, when Munshi performed ‘Tomra Kunjo Sajao Go’, she urged the audience to join in and sing along. During the event, Mou Roychowdhury, co-chairperson of Techno India Group, also sang ‘Tomra Kunjo Sajao Go’ and was visibly enjoying the programme. It was a heartwarming scene, witnessing people from different walks of life coming together through music and devotion.
