Islampur youth ranks 20th in ICAI exam

raiganj: Akshat Jain, hailing from the remote village of Kanki under the Islampur subdivision of North Dinajpur, is on the right path of fulfilling his long cherished dream of becoming a leading financial expert of this country.

The 22-year-old youth has ranked 20th in the All India Chartered Accountancy Examination conducted by the ICAI .

Born in one of the remotest villages of Goalpukur-2 block, Akshat firmly believes that there is no shortcut to success. “I believe, any goal is achievable in today’s world,” he said.

Born in a middle class family Akshat’s father works as an accountant in a toll plaza. His mother is a housewife.

His elder brother works in a private school as a teacher.

Akshat has been a bright boy since his school days. Having passed Higher Secondary examination from

Bal Vidyamandir Senior Secondary school of Kishanganj with 94 per cent marks, he went to St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata for pursuing B.Com.

He appeared for the Chartered Accountancy exam in November 2022.

Though Akshat didn’t expect 20th ranking in ICAI exams, the result has emerged as a major morale booster and strengthened his conviction.

He wants to become one of the top financial experts of this country.

At the same time he wants to simplify complex financial accountancy for the masses that seem to have a phobia of accountancy and taxes.

“People are afraid as the subject matter appears to be complicated. I really want to make things easy and interesting so that people take an interest in this subject and have no doubts,” stated Akshat.
