ER to provide spl emu trains from Diamond Harbour, Canning, Namkhana

Eastern Railway’s Sealdah Division is going to run special EMU trains from Diamond Harbour, Canning and Namkhana to Sealdah on the intervening night of July 8 and July 9 to facilitate movement of the large number of polling personnel after completion of panchayat election.

This initiative was taken by ER as requested by the District Panchayat Election Officer and District Magistrate South 24 Parganas. The special train will leave Diamond Harbour at 1 am and reach Sealdah at 2:27 am, another will leave from Canning at 1 am and reach Sealdah at 2:05 am. Train will leave Namkhana at 11:45 pm and reach Sealdah at 2:20 am. The EMU specials will provide stoppage at all stations enroute including Flag and Halt stations.
