Class 12 student detained for killing his classmate

A class XII student has been detained by the police at Jamuria in West Burdwan for allegedly murdering his classmate over sharing their discussed issues to his father.

According to sources, the victim, a student aged about 17 years, left his home on Saturday evening. The boy told his family members that he would return after eating momos. However, when he did not return till late night, his family started looking for the boy. On Sunday morning, the boy’s body was found beside a pond at Nandishashan area. At the time of recovery, police found several injury marks on the body. During probe, police tracked his mobile number’s tower location and started interrogating several people. After obtaining the tower location details of the victim’s mobile number, cops detained one of his friends and started grilling him. Later, the accused reportedly confessed to the crime.

The accused told the cops that the victim used to share all the matters discussed between them to his father.
