AIIMS hiring graft: CID quizzes BJP MLA Niladri Sekhar Dana

BJP MLA Niladri Sekhar Dana was again interrogated by the state Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Wednesday in connection with the alleged scam of recruitment in Kalyani AIIMS.

Dana was reportedly summoned by the CID for allegedly misusing his influence to arrange a job for his daughter Maitri Dana. The BJP MLA arrived at the Bhabani Bhavan on Wednesday around 11am. He was interrogated for almost three-and-a-half hours. After coming out from the Bhabani Bhavan, Niladri alleged that it is nothing but revengeful politics.

It was alleged that Niladri had used his influence to arrange a job for his daughter in the AIIMS Kalyani. An FIR was registered based on the complaint lodged by job aspirant Sariful Islam on May 20 last year at the Kalyani Police Station naming Union minister of State for Education Subhas Sarkar, MP Jagannath Sarkar, MLA of Chakdah, Bankim Chandra Ghosh, Niladri Sekhar Dana and four others.

Dana and his daughter had been questioned multiple times after CID took over the investigation into the alleged irregularities.
