BBA student held for murdering lover’s friend

A 23-year-old man, who allegedly kidnapped and murdered his lover’s friend in Ghaziabad’s Tronica city, was arrested on Thursday, police said. The accused, Saurabh, was arrested from North-east Delhi’s Sonia Vihar area, police said. A country-made pistol was recovered from his possession, DCP (North-east) AK Singla said.

A case under Arms Act has been registered against Saurabh.

Saurabh told the police that he was in a relationship with a girl from his village for the past three years and did not like the victim, Arun, talking to her. He had warned Arun several times against this. But Arun did not take his warnings seriously.

On Monday, Saurabh – along with his father Subhash, who works in the East MCD, brother Sunny and a friend, Neeraj – allegedly kidnapped Arun and murdered him. They dumped his body in Tronica City.  Subhash and Neeraj have been arrested by the Ghaziabad police.
