Banned from city, snatcher continues crimes, arrested

A notorious snatcher couple who were involved in a string of snatching cases in West Delhi’s Khyala area, had earned the name Bunty and Babli. The duo was arrested in 2014 and their collaboration came to a swift end.

However, Jagjeet, alias Bunty, involved in more than 23 cases of snatching, attempt to murder, theft, assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharging his official duties and Arms Act, was released from jail and was later  banished from Delhi on January 1, due to his criminal record.

But he never left, and continued his criminal activities without his female associate. But he never got too far, as the police received inputs that Jagjeet was in the Capital and his whereabouts were traced to Aggarwal Chowk in Chander Vihar.

He was in a car when he was arrested.
