Bajaj motorcycle sales slide by 5% in May

Bajaj Auto on Monday reported 5.32 per cent decline in its motorcycle sales at 3,04,780 units in May 2013.
The company had sold 3,21,922 units in the corresponding month last year, Bajaj Auto Ltd (BAL) said in a statement.

BAL said exports also declined by 14.35 per cent during the month at 1,11,835 units compared to 1,30,573 units in May 2012. In the commercial vehicles category, the company said its sales stood at 34,568 units as against 30,297 units in the same month last year, an increase of 14.09 per cent. Total vehicle sales of the company in the last month stood at 3,39,348 units compared to 3,52,219 units in the same period a year ago, down 3.65 per cent, the statement said.
