Bahuguna vows to provide land to NDRF in Haridwar

The Eco-Task Force to be established in Rudraprayag and Bageshwar districts would generate employment for 1,500 people. About 50 per cent  of jobs in this force would be reserved for women, while trained guerrillas would also be recruited.

He added that death certificates of those who lost their lives in the natural disaster would be sent to the related state governments within a week. Cheques of monetary relief would also be sent to the chief secretaries of these states. These chief secretaries would ensure distribution of the death certificates and relief to the beneficiaries. The children of residents of this state who died, or those whose homes were totally destroyed, would be provided fees from the CM’s Relief Fund for an entire year, regardless of which school or institution they are studying in.

The death certificates of those deceased in the recent disaster will be provided to the related state governments within a week. The fees of children of deceased persons, or those rendered homeless, will be paid for a year from the Chief Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund. A total of 42 villages have been excluded from the scope of the Govind Wild Life Sanctuary in Uttarkashi. Approval has been given to the constitution of a Special Mining Vigilance Force to prevent illegal mining.

Providing information about the proposed Vidhan Sabha building in Gairsen, the chief minister said that a committee had been constituted for this headed by the Speaker.

The estimate submitted by the implementing agency, the NBCC, was more than the amount approved. Now, the NBCC had been asked to submit a proposal by 25 October within the Rs 75 crore limit. The work on the building would begin as soon as the new proposal was received. Land had been identified for the Vidhan Sabha and Secretariat in Raipur, also, and the foundation stone would be laid in November.
