Badaun girls’ murder case: Three accused get conditional bail

Additional district judge Anil Kumar granted conditional bail to Pappu Yadav and his two brothers — Avdhesh Yadav and Urvesh Yadav — held along with two constables, who were granted bail three days ago.
According to Pappu Yadav’s counsel, Jawahar Singh Yadav the bail of the three persons has been accepted on personal bonds of two lakhs each as well as sureties of the similar amount.
The counsel said that the documents relating to the bail would be produced in the court tomorrow and they would be released after their verification.
They would also have to give an undertaking that in case of any evidence was found against them in future, they would present themselves in the court and would neither try to contact nor influence any witness or investigative agency.
According to prosecution, filing of charge sheet within 90 days in such cases is mandatory. As CBI, which is investigating the case, has not filed the charge sheet during this period nor sought additional time for investigation, the accused have been able to secure bail.
