Babu and fellow IITian meets AAP convener at Ghaziabad home

Senior IAS officer and fellow IITian Rajinder Kumar on Tuesday met chief minister designate Arivind Kejriwal at his residence in Ghaziabad.

According to sources Kejriwal has tipped him for the post of principal secretary to chief minister. Millennium Post on Monday had on its front page, a story that IITian chief minister will trust IITian bureaucrats. Kumar, however, didn’t provide any details of his meetings with CM designate.

Kumar is a graduate from IIT Kanpur and a 1989 batch IAS officer. He is presently secretary of information technology department and higher education. Earlier, he had served as power secretary and also on various posts in Delhi government.

Earlier, in the day Delhi chief secretary DM Sapolia met Kejriwal at his residence to decide on the oath taking ceremony function. According to sources, Sapolia offered a government bungalow to Kejriwal, which he refused.
