Awarding best designs and displays

The 42nd edition of IHGF-Delhi fair Autumn 2016 concluded recently at India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida with the prestigious Ajay Shankar Memorial Awards for the best designed and displayed stands being distributed in six product categories. 

The six categories in which awards were distributed would include Fashion Jewellery and Accessories, Lamps and Lighting products, Houseware, Decorative and Gifts, Candles and Incense, Furniture and accessories. Two awards – gold and silver in each categories were given.

Naveen Verma, Secretary, Ministry of Department of Development of North Eastern Region [DONER] gave away the awards in the presence of SN Pradhan, Joint Secretary, Ministry of DONER, Roui Kullai, Director, Ministry of Doner, D Kumar, Chairman – EPCH, Rakesh Kumar, ED – EPCH, Naved Ur Rehman, President of IHGF-Delhi Fair Autumn 2016, KK Bhansali, Vice President of the fair, OP Prahladka, Vice Chairman-EPCH and other members of committee of Administration of EPCH. 

The Ajay Shankar Memorial Awards were instituted in the memory of late Ajay Shankar, former Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) who was one of the major motivators for establishing this fair.

Ajay Shankar Memorial gold Award for the best display stand in the category of Fashion Jewellery and Accessories was given to M/s Priya Global, Noida  and the silver award for the same was given to M/s Gloster Ltd, Kolkata.

The gold award in the category of Lamp, Lighting products was given to M/s Export India, Moradabad while the silver award for the same was given to M/s Stoneman Crafts India Pvt Ltd, Agra.

The gold award in the category of Houseware was given to M/s Jagdamba Cutlery Pvt Ltd, Kundli, Sonipat and the silver award was given to M/s Steren Impex Pvt Ltd Kundli, Sonipat. The gold award in the category of Gifts and decoratives was given to M/s EV Home, Moradabad and the silver award was given  to M/s Shree Sai De Art, Moradabad. The gold award in the category of Candle and Incense was given to M/s Shrinivas Sugandhalaya, Mumbai and the silver award was given to M/s Hari Darshan Sevashram Pvt Ltd. 

Ajay Shankar Memorial gold award in the category of Furniture and Accessories was given to M/s Traditional Handicrafts Centre, Jodhpur and the silver award was given to M/s Artisans Alliance, Jodhpur.
