Auto lifters in police net, over 100 cases solved

Delhi Police Crime Branch arrested three auto lifters including the gang leader who were involved in more than 100 auto thefts in Delhi-NCR, police said on Thursday. Three stolen motorcycles, one Santro car with fake Registration Certificates have been recovered from their possession.

The accused persons have been identified as Devender Kumar (33), the alleged leader, Satpal (40) and <g data-gr-id="16">Somveer</g> (22). According to police, on Monday, a secret information was received that Kumar would come to the Digamber Jain Mahila Ashram at <g data-gr-id="17">Ghata</g> Masjid Road in Darya Ganj area with his associates. 

“Accordingly, a team of the Central Range was constituted to nab them. A raid was conducted and they were apprehended on the instance of the secret informer and three stolen motorcycles and one car were recovered,” the police said.
